Small Firms that are Top Heavy (50% Partners)
Hey WSO,
I'm getting reached out to for a few small (~$500MM AUM) shops that have ~20 people in them, with role distributions like 50% Partners, 20% Directors, 20% VPs, 10% Associates. Understand that experiences here can be highly variable, but any insight into what career progression can be expected, and what the typical roles of associates are in these types of firms would be much appreciated.
If most of the firm is senior, what value do associates actually add?
