Internship Offer Advice – Help

Hi,

I've recently received 2 junior summer internship offers and had a really difficult time deciding which one I should proceed with.

A bit background about the two shops. One is a relatively small REPE investing globally with around 20 people and has raised 5 institutional funds (each over $500m) focusing on LP side core+ & opportunistic deals in hospitality, multifamily, and industrial. The team members all have very impressive backgrounds from both an educational & professional standpoint (Havard & Wharton MBA, MSREI, JPM RE)

The other one is a nation's top developer in student housing. It's a fully integrated real estate firm developing across the U.S and has a strong development pipeline and stable stream of institutional investors such as GS. Most of the deals are on GP side.

Given it's my first RE internship, I'm still not sure which asset class I'm interested in at the time but it would most likely be multifamily since it's easier to start doing my own deals. I plan to learn as much as I can this summer and leverage this internship experience to get a full-time role at leading companies in multifamily like Greystar or companies that focuses on different asset classes if I still have no idea which asset class I want to specialize in at that time. My ultimate career goal is to go out on my own and focus on investing in 2 sectors (multifamily & industrial, understand it would be difficult but always have a dream).

As a side note that might be helpful, I've finished REFM training and also planning to take the ARGUS certification exam in several weeks. Would much appreciate any insights!
