*New* CRE ANALYST: Work Hours?

Definitely sounds like I'm a troll but I genuinely am trying to get a sense of what the hours are actually like for a 1st yr analyst working at JLL/CBRE/CW in NYC.

I know it varies greatly at times and there will always be the occasional all nighter, but I've heard many say as little to 40-50 while others say 60-80 average.I am a bit confused and would like to know what you consider normal and how often you work 80+ ?

Apologies if I seem like a troll. Just want to get a feel for what I am heading into and the drastic difference in responses makes me wonder what is most accurate.

Thank you in advance for any feedback.

OP here, not sure who/where it went but thank you to whoever responded before referencing their friend’s hours at JLL

Depends on which group and which office... I know of folks in the Investment Sales and Debt & Structure Finance groups working 60-80 hours a week, if not more when you factor in work-related happy hours. Then I know brokerage analysts or portfolio analysts working maybe 40-50 hours a week. These vary depending on region, deal activity and just who you work for.
