Part Time RE Internship Question
There's a listing for a part time RE Internship on my schools OCR website, I applied to it because it sounds like something cool to do over the semester. I don't know much about RE though, was hoping someone on here might be able to give a rough idea on what some of the things I might need to know/will be doing based on the job description. It said that RE experience wasn't necessary.
"Position: Assistant Investment Analyst
Job Description: Primary due diligence related to new real estate investments. Research will be conducted both in the office and in the field."
Thanks
Pretty wide range. You could be pulling market reports or sales/lease comps for presentation, combing through leases, or basic cash flow modeling.
Depending on the quality of the company, it's a good sign to actual visit the properties. Pretty rare for younger financial analysts to visit CRE sites IMO.
All of the above can be disregarded, however, if the company is Bob's Real Estate - upon which you could be reloading the printer and digging ditches to drain standing water off his trailer park.
