RIA to REPE
Posted this over in AM but hoping for some replies here. Looking at creating an Alts program at my firm. What type of structures or strategies do you see with RIAs that provide their clients with access to REPE, PE, syndications etc. I don’t love the liquid alt funds I see popping up. Would prefer direct placement type investments. Thanks in advance.
Go talk to the local owner/operators in your state and ask if you can place money with them in their closed-end funds.
Thanks for the reply. I’d think many operators would like the access to capital. I guess most of my questions are on structure, compliance and fees. Something like creating a small fund of funds for our clients every couple of years? I know most of these issues are RIA/AM questions but was hoping someone over here has worked with or maybe seen something like this in action.
Heard about these guys on a podcast, they seem to handle the backend for RIAs to place client money in illiquid alts:

On a separate note, how much money you looking to place? Our firm (GP/Operator in Industrial) is always looking for new capital partners.
