Hudson advisors/ Lone Star is low 1s for analysts, I got an offer there. Not exactly stellar pay, especially in NYC. Who told you pay was high?

I know pay won’t be be stellar high, but that doesn’t sound bad honestly. Thank you for the insight.

Low to mid 1s sounds pretty in line for analysts in REPE except if you are at like a BX, Starwood (but then working constant 70-80+ hour weeks)

That requires work, and what most of these people want is a fantasy.

I mean, even if someone could actually provide that list, and do so accurately... how is that information even helpful?  Getting an offer at any of those shops is hard to do, much less pinpointing one or two in particular, and it's not like your Yr 1 salary is at all indicative of what comp will be five years later.

Buying a Powerball ticket and fantasizing is much better.

Super curious on what Brookfield pays their Analysts and Associates in investments. Someone from my school is going there, super deserving, but idk them to well

I understand this thread sounded obnoxious to some, but I think it's worthwhile question. Comp in REPE / development has such a lack of transparency that it would be extremely helpful to have a decent list with base / bonus / carry details by firm. There was a comp survey here on Google docs but it didn't list firms.

My current shop was extremely opaque regarding bonus & carry during offer negotiations, and living in a HCOL location it would've been really helpful to know and have decent comparisons. Found out recently that base salaries haven't changed in over a decade, and bonuses are basically just a wild-ass-guess. Can't pay preschool tuition with carry that's 3-5 years away...if it pays out at all.

Bro, what? Lmao. If your goal is transparency in pay to somehow benefit yourself, how is knowing / making a thread of the HIGHEST PAYING REAL ESTATE FIRMS TO EVER EXIST going to help you in that endeavor? So knowing Blackstone is paying $500k for Associates is going to give you leverage when discussing comp at your no-fund operator doing Value-add investments in Jersey? The Google Doc is all anyone should realistically need in the name of transparency; you don't need actual firm names, it includes fund/firm size and geography right there for you.Getting pretty tired of the blatant fantasizing kids here are doing for really no other reason than apparent erotic stimulation. Really begs the question what you all are doing when you close your eyes and ask us to tell you "how big Blackstone really is" on essentially a daily basis.
