Modeling on Resume?
Hello. I have a rather odd question for you guys. I am a male and a rising sophomore in college.
I have modeled in 3 somewhat-large-scale fashion shows and have had one semi-professional photo shoot taken.
Would it be appropriate to add "Modeling" to the interests section of my resume? and how do you think this would be perceived/ how would you perceive it?
Thanks.
Probably wouldn't add it because it's not relevant and could be construed as unprofessional/vain.
I'd potentially include it as an EC if the shows are well known and raise money for charity etc, but not as an interest.

Why would you put that on your resume? Since you've only been in college for a year I would relax.
Just put it in the interest section, its not a big deal.
If it's something truly unique (e.g. modeled Versace at Bryant Park), list it (not just "modeling") in the Additional section at the end. "Semi-pro photo shoot" makes me think of Glamour Shots (http://www.buzzfeed.com/whitneyjefferson/12-ways-to-get-the-best-glamou…).
it wouldn't be my first choice to go on the resume, but I don't see it being a dealbreaker if the rest of it is strong. focus the remaining years you have in college on getting girls, grades, and internships.
I would avoid that as an interest. I had something similar down as an EC but I didn't get any offers so maybe don't even do that either. (although I'm sure that was not the sole reason I didn't get any interviews)
