CFA Question?

I'm a liberal arts major at a top uni with absolutely no clue of finance, so I'm asking you guys for help. My ultimate goal is to work for a hedge fund, but I know that there are certain steps you must take before you apply for a hedge fund. Let's say that I did get a couple of internships on my resume. What jobs do you usually apply to as an entry level job? Is it IB or ER? Do you have to get a CFA in order to be part of IB, ER, and Hedge Fund? I'm very confused.
