Possible to go from a non-target (Colby/Bates/Middlebury) as international to IB/Consulting?

I've been accepted at Colby, Middlebury, Bates as an international student while being waitlisted at three Ivies. I don't think I'll get off the waitlists, so I have to choose between these schools. Which school is the best for my desired career field? If I major in Economics at one of these schools, is there a chance that I can break into IB/Consulting from these schools? I know these are non-targets, but can I acquire internships or return offers if I network with the school alumni? Sorry, if this post is misguided, but I'm quite confused at the moment.

op, i think this dude is laughing because these are great schools. if i were you, i would go to middlebury, major in economics, join finance/consulting focused clubs, work your ass off, and network(there are plenty of alumni that went to midd in IB). while i agree that bates/colby are non-targets, they are regarded as greats LACs, and well recognized on the east coast. and, honestly, middlebury is more of a semi-target than anything else. i would say to go where you feel would be the best fit, but, similar students go to each of these schools, and they all have a similar environment. so, if you want to break into IB/consulting, middlebury is easily the most prestigious, with a great academic and student experience. hope this helps
