Will I have any luck finding smaller firms running Degree Apprenticeships in IB/S&T?
Hi everyone,
Wondering if it will be fruitful to try reach out to small/boutique firms to see if they offer any degree apprenticeships in IB/S&T like the bigger banks have (JPM, Goldman, UBS etc.). Is it becoming more common to see degree apprentices in IB/S&T at smaller firms or will this plan to reach out to said smaller firms largely prove to be a waste of time?
Regards

Degree apprenticeships are like super costly for a firm lol. Bigger players normally do these higher risk, nascent things first. Smaller firms MIGHT come along later. Plenty of smaller players don't even offer grad schemes, they basically have no incentive here.
Do the government still not do the 95/5 split of the cost? Last I remember this was the case, helped to get them going - and there's been some introduction of L3/4 among the L6/7 (Degree) apprenticeships at the big banks, so was just wondering if that'd trickle down yet.
Thanks for letting me know about the state of grad schemes within smaller firms - context is much appreciated.
Highly doubt it, but you never know until you try.
