How valuable is experience from a start-up in growth equity / VC?
I will graduate next year and am aiming to join a growth equity / VC firm upon graduation. I have some prior experience in finance and have now received an offer from an e-commerce start-up where I would also be allowed to choose which divisions I want to work in. The start-up recently raised $30m for its series A, have about 50 FTEs and is backed by a few pretty solid VC firms. How valuable would an internship at the start-up be when recruiting for growth equity / VC? Would experience from certain divisions be valued higher?
My background:
-
PE internship at MM fund
-
IB internship at MM bank
-
VC internship at CVC fund of a blue-chip company
-
Studying finance at a target
