Looking to switch to VC

I'm a first year PE analyst looking to switch over to VC. The going is rough, would anyone be able to make any suggestions? My background is in technology related healthcare, but positions are obviously scarce. Also, I am looking to get in within the next few months, so please no "start your own business." Bananas and sincere appreciation for anyone who is able to give good advice.

VC is more of a club than other sectors...they prefer whip smart associates from t1 business schools over analysts with one year work experience. Only place that takes analysts is Bessemer, and that's tough to get, just look at their class.

Bessemer is not the only place that takes analyst - know what you are talking about before you make such statements. They do not only take from t1 business schools, so again you are wrong. Work experience matters much more than you think.
