J.P Morgan Asset/Wealth Management Video Interview

I have a interview with J.P Morgan where I have to answer 4 questions on video, but there is not an interview on the other side. Has anyone had any experience with this?

What to expect from a JP Morgan Hirevue Video Interview

All applicants are asked to conduct video interviews after applying to a program. Users on the forum have generally heard back between 2-3 weeks to schedule second round or superday interviews. The status of their candidacy can be accessed on the applicant portal.

The interview includes 3-6 questions with 30 seconds to prepare a response, and up to 90 seconds to answer. The video stops recording as soon as 90 seconds are up. There are 3 attempts to answer each question. There is an opportunity to practice this video format in the tutorial you will see prior to starting your interview. It is recommended to practice preparing and recording videos prior to your interview- unlimited practice trials are offered.

Possible Questions

  • What attracts you to JP Morgan, and specifically this division?
  • What's your cumulative GPA?
  • Tell us about a time when you worked with a difficult employee.
  • Tell us about a time you worked with a great team. What made working with them great?
  • What are you most excited about in financial markets?
  • What do you know about the alternative investments industry?
  • What attracted you most to this position?
  • What unique experience or expertise could you bring to our team?
  • What leadership experience or extracurricular activity on your resume is most important to you and why?
  • What efforts do you make to stay on top of the markets on a regular basis?

General Tips

  • Ensure your webcam and microphone work
  • Practice answering general behavioral questions concisely in front of a webcam, and prepare yourself mentally for questions you may not expect
  • Review your resume for experiences and skills you want to highlight
  • Be dressed in business professional from the waist up, and conduct your video interview in a quiet, well- lit room with minimal background distractions

I did them a couple of weeks ago. I believe that this is the first primary screening. After you clear this stage, you might be invited to the First Round Interview.

You should have 90 seconds to do each questions, but trust me, it runs out before you know it. Prepare well.

Hello, I recently completed a digital screening (6 days ago) for JP Morgan Asset Management group. Would you happen to know as to how long it usually take for them to respond and notify potential candidates as to whether or not they have been selected to come in for an in-person interview? Thanks.

I got the same invitation from J.P. Morgan today. If you don't mind me asking... What were the 4 questions they asked you? IF you don't want to answer that (totally understandable lol) then could you perhaps hint at the subject matter involved? Anything technical? Any brain teasers? Can we click the invite link without actually starting the video interview at that time, so we have some time to review the questions?

Thanks, bro

Just did one with the Alt Investments Group. Here were some of the Q's:

1 - (not a video response) Are you authorized to work in the US? 2 - What's your cum. GPA? 3 - Tell us about a time when you worked with a difficult employe. 4 - Tell us about a time you worked with a great team. What made working with them great? 5 - What are you most excited about in financial markets? 6 - What do you know about the alternative investments industry? 7 - What attracted you most to this position? 8 - ..... I can't remember... But yeah there were 6 video response questions for sure.

GOOD LUCK YALL!

Stay Classy, RB

Here are the questions I had for my JPM AM/GWM video interview: Q1: What attracts you to JP Morgan, and specifically the Global Wealth Management opportunity? Q2: What unique experience or expertise could you bring to our team? Q3: What leadership experience or extracurricular activity on your resume is most important to you and why? Q4: What efforts do you make to stay on top of the markets on a regular basis?

Pretty basic stuff, 1:30/answer, 3 tries with only one autostart.

Does it let you see the question before you have to answer it? Is the question only shown for a certain amount of time and then you have 90 seconds to answer?

Thanks

I just did the video questions last weekend. I got the exact same ones as listed a couple comments above. You get 90 seconds for each question. Here they are again.

  1. What attracts you to JP Morgan, and specifically the Global Wealth Management opportunity?
  2. What unique experience or expertise could you bring to our team?
  3. What leadership experience or extracurricular activity on your resume is most important to you and why?
  4. What efforts do you make to stay on top of the markets on a regular basis?

I didn't get the video interview at all and instead had a short telephone interview with an analyst 2 weeks ago. When I checked my application last night, it said "selected for second round interview," though I haven't heard back yet. This was for the NYC office btw.

I applied for HK/SG GWM FT program. My status was changed from "under review" to "invited to first round interview" yesterday--which is very confusing since I attended superday last Thursday and was invited to the dinner afterwards. Anyone has similar experience? Also, anyone knows the timeline after superday? Thanks!

Hey guys, just wanna do a follow up on this topic. I'm going through their screening right now, for their 2017 HK office JPMAM Analyst position. Did my video interview a week ago, current status is under review.

Anyone got the invitation of the first phone call? May I ask what questions did they ask?

The video questions are not exactly like the above.

I got the first two the same. The third one was "Tell me about a time when you did something challenging and how you handled it." Don't remember the fourth one.

Thanks a lot.

Persistency is Key

Just finished mine. As stated above, these are the questions you get. You get two attempts per question.

  • What attracts you to J.P. Morgan, and specifically the Wealth Management opportunity?

  • What unique experience or expertise could you bring to our team?

  • What leadership experience or extracurricular activity on your resume is most important to you and why?

  • What efforts do you make to stay on top of markets on a regular basis?

Hi guys, is the superday divided by gender? Got a call for Winning Women Event about 3 weeks after the video interview. (applied for Asia AM)

Also update: received a phone interview last Friday, got a superday offer from that this past Sunday. Just received another superday office at a different location. Both Midwestern offices. Good luck to everyone out there!

Anyone else received the invitation for the second round, just got mine this morning. It’s gonna be a group discussion activity which it says will last for around 2 hours, so I assume it’s gonna be the superday. Btw I am applying for WM in HK and will have the interview in Boston late Nov.

Hi, would you mind letting me know what the super day process was like (how many rounds, what technical questions were asked) and especially if you had a group interview, what was that about?

I just received an invite to interview in New York on Nov.20. The position is AM summer analyst in HK. I've only done the HireVue before, and the HR who called me said that I'm invited to the 1st round, and if I'm successful, I will be interviewing for the second round on the same day. It seems like the 1st round is going to be a group discussion interview.

Thank you so much for your help!!!
