Question about PWM and FT offer
Hello everyone,
I am interested in pursuing PWM out of undergrad and was wondering if getting a PWM internship junior year could possibly turn into a FT offer? I know in IB an SA stint junior year more often than not turns into a full time offer after graduation. Is PWM similar or is there more politics involved in getting FT? Assuming this is a BB or other large bank with structure.
If you're at a regional office, it's not at all the norm. Say, a UBS PWM branch, for a return offer to be on the table you would probably want to discuss your intentions with the branch manager beforehand to see if they are looking for someone to stay on full time.
On the other hand, there are programs such as the Goldman Sachs PWM SA program and the JP Morgan Private Banking SA program where a return offer is on the table as in IB.
