Transferring out of PWM- Need a "Gap" year

Like most, I failed at PWM. I'm 23 years old, 1.5 years out of college (finance major, state school), have a low GPA, little Excel skills, have learned how to ferociously network, near NYC, and have CFA Level 1 under my belt.

I can't go long without a salary.. I still am technically at my PWM but I can see the wall at the end of the tunnel.

I have to make some big decisions, fast.

My goal is to break into Corporate Finance, (supposedly one of the more achievable areas of finance). While working a 9-5, I understand that I will have to work hard, however, I will have some time outside of work for a more long-term game plan, whether that means ER/ taking the CFA, or doing an MBA (not likely), or learning to code, or god knows what.

However, I need to break into Corporate Finance quick..

a) I can start networking
b) start learning Excel
Asap

Just not sure where exactly I'm headed. So I have to ask, what is something I should target? When it comes to the best possible corporate finance job available, that is also achievable for someone in my shoes, with and without proper networking.

Should I not aim for F500? Is FP&A harder to break into than other "Finance Analyst" Jobs.

Sorry if a lot of these answers can be researched.. I've done some homework but could do more. Just kind of frantic right now.. I will also be doing my homework when it comes to having conversations with people that I connect with,

Thank you,
