Customer Analytics

Had a discussion with a friend who works at Nielsen currently and he thinks that Nielsen runs this space. Any thoughts on the top companies if you're interested in Customer Analytics?

I would imagine the likes of IBM and Accenture to be pretty strong due to their technology and big data focus and the default MBB?

Worked at IBM until recently, they're investing a lot into big data. Have client engagements with most of major (UK) supermarkets and ISP/Comms firms in this space

IBM and Accenture are big in the space, and I know PwC Canada is currently working on building a practice in that area, however it is bigger than just the analytics team. It is focusing on aligning all the systems and processes in an org. to produce the data needed for good analysis, or something like that.

The one nice thing about "general" consulting is you do get to try your skills across a variety of areas, I've done procurement spend analysis and projections, human capital analysis / productivity, and had to model various hospital operating models using non-linear distributions and running multiple states ala monte carlo....esque in this case.

It isn't quite what you are looking for, but it can be fun to apply your knowledge across very different problems to try and make the best recommendation based on what data you have available.

We can always use mathletes,
