ANY EXPERIENCED INST SALES GUYS OUT THERE? 3+ YEARS...

Appreciate the guidance anyone could provide...

Moved to NYC after playing professional golf in Florida for some time. Working for MS currently as an FA trainee focusing on new issue sales... (selling group for underwriting syndicate) ... but hoping to transfer to an Instutional Sales/Trading posito. Due to my current position I am obviously limited to to ibanks outside of MS.

So tell me everything you know about inst sales, the different titles I should be seeking, what an entry level sales job entitles, what the best firms on the street are (or the most realistic to approach), who I should be networking with, who makes hiring decisions, etc.

And if anyone is looking for guidance on the Advisor/Broker side of the business feel free to ask...

Thanks,

B

Really another one of these dude? You obviously didn't go to an Ivy.

If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses - Henry Ford

would you like me to do your homework for you as well? perhaps wipe your ass too?

this is why i don't talk to non-Ivy graduates.
