Apple finance vs BB IBD exit opps

Hi I currently have a connection at apple that can help me get into their Financial Intern-->Financial Development Program. However he only wants to help if this is really something I am committed to. I eventually want to end up in PE/VC but first a top MBA program. I also have connections at BofA cap markets group so that was an option also. I dont have offers yet so I dont want to get ahead of myself, but I just didnt want to waste my connections efforts at Apple unless it was something that I really wanted as Apple recruiting thinks many kids from my school use it as a back up for ibd and consulting (spoken from apple contact).

I would assume that BB IBD would be better for PE/VC but I was wondering how the Financial Analyst program at Apple is perceived and what exit opps would be after as far as work and possibly top5/10 MBA? Also any insight on pay?

I appreciate any advice and sorry if what I said sounds naive I am just learning the ropes around here.

Funny but true. I guess they know that IBD is more coveted by business majors. Personally i think you could pull a top MBA program from apple corp finance. As for IBD don't think so. PE/VC maybe, I say this because Menlo Park is home to tech PE/VC

I think both will help you get a top 10 MBA. My advice is to stop trying to plan your life 10 years down the road and do something you like. You might start working for Apple and love the company and culture and just stay on. I am completely different now than I was at 18, 22, 25. Everyone changes and has different priorities.
