Are the good times over?
First off, i do not work for an IB but am considering it as a possible career switch...anyway, everyone both in and ourside of IB world saw, read, and heard the big GS announcement during Dec. 2006 and saw news clippings like this (http://www.nypost.com/seven/12112006/photos/biz03…)...does anyone out there feel like the IB salary/good times are over? Sometimes an announcement like this can mean the best has acutally passed? What does everyone think about the future of IB? Continued growth? Plateau? Just curious...
No, they aren't http://bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=a0ZLN.As.fv4&refer=home
Forget about where we're at in the cycle, if you want to get into IB do so now while firms are still recruiting!
I hope not or I am out of a job before I even start
