Arms industry coverage

Any IB/PE/ER firm specialized/known for covering weapons, ammo, soldier equipment, etc. manufacturers?

The issue is that most of the aerospace and defence groups cover mostly aerospace-defence stuff from my experience; there also is a lot of high tech defence related companies. However, I'm having hard time finding somebody knowledgeable about "traditional" (small) arms and ammo.

Thanks!

what do you want to know? industry trends or a job? A&D firms don't focus on guns and ammo anymore because the focus is on technology including cyber, intel, recon, etc. it's the new wave for obvious reasons.

Depending on the size, this sounds like a great PE candidate. I work in the European market and can tell you that your friend will have a hard time selling his business to financial investors. That said, I don't see a reason why he wouldn't sell to a strategic one, depending on the product which his company is selling. Either way, if the company isn't absolutely tiny, it might be worth to hire a M&A advisor.
