B-school / GMAT question
I'm a junior in undergrad thinking about taking the GMAT at the end of this semester. I plan on working for 4 years after I graduate and then possibly going to b-school, and am trying to figure out if my gmat score would still be valid when it is time for me to apply.
During what year/time would I typically be applying to b-school if I want to do IB for 2 years and then some other role(PE/Corp strategy?) for 2 years? I would assume sometime after my 3rd year of working.
Would my score still be accepted or would it have expired in 5 years by that time?
Your score's valid as long as it's
Just take the GMAT later. You'll hopefully be much smarter 3-4 years down the road.
^ I don't know about that. Surely he'll have a ton of work/real world knowledge, but that school smarts fades.
If you want to do 2+2 remember that you apply like a year before you actually matriculate. So if you applied R1 it would be like in your 3rd year of employment. That's a pretty comfortable cushion.
Personally, I wish I took my GMAT the summer after senior year and before I started my full-time job in consulting. I had a blast that summer, and that's the opportunity cost. I wish I studied a little my last semester senior year (wasn't taking many hard classes) and just took it once my senior year summer.
