Bad career move?
I'm finishing my MBA at top tier school (top tier u/g), and worked at prestigious HF pre-MBA (not in a risk taking role). I received an offer to work in the front office for a pro sports team in an analytics type capacity (high visibility, not back room type thing). The money is significantly less than I was making pre-MBA, but this is the only chance in my life I'd have for something like this. Ultimately just looking to understand what my downside risk is, i.e. think it'd be easy enough to get back into the buy side (HF/PE)? Or do you think this is just a "do it if you like it, god help you if it doesn't work out". Figured I'd pose the question here since these are the type of people who would be judging my resume if things go south.
