BB "Hold" offers

Hello,

Does anyone know a hold offer works? I completed a BB Superday last week for a summer associate role and they called me and told me they really like me, but they had to wait to see how yields worked about before committing to an offer. Has anyone dealt with that or know how likely that something will come of it?

Yea, I got that from a BB for a Summer Analyst position. It sucks since you are kinda on the backburner, but if you have another offer (of a comparable bank), you can tell them and they will make a decision for you (recruiter told me this).

For analyst recruiting I was put on hold at a BB in NYC, only to find out two months later that they ended up not taking anyone from the hold list. Something may materialize, but it's best not to get your hopes up and look for other options.
