I recently was invited to attend UBS's winter reception, but the problem is that attending would mean delaying my flight home by 4 days and costing an extra $70 on plane tickets. For those of you that have attended these kinds networking sessions in the past, what were your experiences? Do you think it helps much during recruiting?
