Best Android Market Apps
I'm only posting this under IB because I assume it will get the most views / reaction, and I think this is useful info for you guys. Sorry if this is the wrong spot.
I'm all about android, but all of their apps for finance / investing suck! They either don't provide a significant amount of data, lack up to date news, or just look and function like crap. So, question is, what apps do you recommend? I'm primarily focused on the equity market, but data from bonds, commodities, etc. would be cool too. Here are a few I've used, and why I don't like them.
- Bloomberg: Ton of data and news, but the layout just kind of sucks. Also, missing some key data like divi yield, etc.
- CNBC: Horrible app. Terrible UI.
- Google finance: Decent but limited.
- Yahoo finance: Love the UI, but half the time the data and news don't populate correctly.
- Optionshouse: My broker. Great UI. Good data, but no news.
- Peak Stocks: Probably the best I've seen, but no market overview page, etc. More focused on your own portfolio.
- Seeking Alpha: Shit UI. Crappy layout.
Any thoughts? Thanks.
Peak Stocks is all there is.
CNNMoney is really good, has a ton of interesting stuff on it, Motley Fool, XE too. But one of the great things about Android is that if you have Adobe Flash installed, you can view the full CNBC and Yahoo! Finance sites, with the movable graphs, etc. Also, if you're a CNBC Pro sub (I used to be), then thats pretty good too.
Thanks. What is XE?
its a currency app
