Best Blackberry

First of all, I apologize for the "light" subject given what is happening to the Bear hires. I wish you all the best of luck and hopefully the rumors are not true.

With that being said, which Blackberry would you recommend for a junior analyst? My firm is giving me the option of which device I would like...

Curve? Pearl? Etc. I don't care which one is "cool" or "trendy", I just want somebody to tell me which device is the best for the job.

Thanks.

I had the Pearl last year for personal use. Absolutely useless if you actually want to send an email off of it. The firm I interned at last summer gave me an 8800 which I quite enjoyed so I would recommend that.

Thanks for the input.

From what I hear, the IPhone sucks for business purposes and IMO, the Pearl seems like a toy for rich girls (as you said).

I'll probably get a Curve.

CURVE! I have it, i love it. Best blackberry available. Tons of additional features like GPS, 2 mega pixel camera and bloomberg. It's small, it's light and has a full keyboard. The lack of a full keyboard on the pearl is a huge disadvantage. When you need to write e-mails quickly, the curve is a godsend. The curve does everything the 8800 does but is much lighter. In addition, the coolest feature is the ability to read PDFs ont he screen, either as text or an image. Perfect for revewing documents when I'm away from my desk. (Works wonders for recruiting, I get through a stack of pdf resume's between before getting back on the plane).
