Big 4 TAS or Boutique Consulting Firm
Hi all,
I'm a Big4 consultant with three years of experience, and am currently weighing my options between moving to another Big4 with their TAS group, or a boutique consulting firm. I'm a little older and not looking go back for an MBA or try to lateral into an MBB, but would like to hear thoughts on each opportunity. I've tried to lay out the pertinent information below:
Big4:
-With their M&A integration/divestiture practice
-Allow me to work on deals exclusively
-Bigger name one resume
-Easier to move abroad (a personal desire of mine)
Boutique:
-Does a bit of everything: strategy, M&A work, operations improvement, etc.
-Less than 75 people, but growing quickly
-Much, MUCH more desirable city than the Big 4 opportunity
Does anyone have any thoughts about what would be a better move? Exit opportunities?
Thanks!
Haha I like the username Mr. Dobalina.
I would do Big 4, as long as I was willing to keep putting the long hours in. Good luck Bob
Big four but it depends on career aspirations
Mahmoud - glad you like the name.
Any particular reason for Big4 over the boutique? What are the exit opportunities for that type of M&A work?
Bump, I'd like to hear more about this as well.
