Blackberry for travels

I'm planning on traveling to Asia for a couple months. I have a personal blackberry, which I'd like to use outside of the U.S. I've heard that all you need to do is unlock the phone, buy a prepaid sim card, pop it in, and you're good to go.

Does anyone have any experience using their blackberry internationally? Do most countries sell prepaid BB sim cards? (More specifically, China and S. Korea)

Thanks!

kidflashumm i haven't checked this in a couple of years, but if i remember correctly, korea's on CDMA and they don't use sim cards.

I know Verizon is on CDMA as well. Does this mean as long as I unlock my BB, I can use it in Korea?

negatory. korea is insular as shit, and you need to go through like a 3 month testing period and pay a licensing fee or some shit.

the only people i've heard of being able to use their same phone in korea and america are kids who buy korean iphones and use them in the states.
