Blog/Resume
sorry if this is in the wrong forum
Hi everyone,
I'm creating my linkedin profile and I saw some people link a personal website in their profile. This is usually a blog/resume and it seems to give a little more of a person's personality and in depth explanation of work experience including slide shows of previous projects/case competitions etc.
What is the general consensus of this?
I'm a cc transfer which means I'll be starting University at the Junior year level. I have some substantial work experience from before and during my cc time but I feel like i'm at a slight disadvantage as when I'm settling into University my peers will be preparing for big time summer internship opportunities. Needless to say, I need to go the extra mile to be competitive/stick out.
Would a blog/resume put me at any distinct advantage? (I've considered this for leisurely purposes simply because I enjoy writing and sharing my thoughts with others)
Would it be wise for me to run for leadership positions my first semester, either in a general business club, consulting club, or business fraternity?
I'm trying to decide how I can distinguish myself for Junior summer internship opportunities and maximize the limited time I have once I transfer, and do at the very least plan to use linkedin to network "cold message"
FWIW I'm a Socal student who plans to stay in Ca
Thanks for any feedback
bump anyone?
