I'm a sophomore and I have been accepted to intern at Bloomberg's Emerging Talent internship, which is basically researching financial markets, and a boutique private equity firm. Which would look better/ be more relevant for IBD?

I am not familiar with the Emerging Talent program at Bloomberg, so others should chime in as well. It depends a little bit on what kind of IBD you want to specialize in. If it is M&A, then I would lean heavily towards accepting the PE internship. You will develop a transferable skill set and your deal experience will be something great to talk about during ibd interviews. If you are more interested in an ECM role, for example, then the decision becomes slightly more difficult. Someone else who knows the program could help you out then.
