Bulge-bracket IB internship?
Hey all,
I'm a rising junior at Wharton, and this summer I'm working at the Private Equity group of Northwestern Mutual.
I want to try to aim for a bulge-bracket IB internship next summer but want a realistic assessment of my chances given that my GPA is 3.6 and I'm not sure how my work experience from my sophomore summer will be looked at by recruiters.
Any advice?
Thanks.
if you have good interview skills, then ur gonna be fine trust me
They will want you. Send your resume in and interviews will come.
you're at fucking Wharton, you're going to be fine.
Seriously. Even without the internship, the 3.6 will get you a lot of interviews for SA next year.
I dunno about the 3.6 being that good....My roommate last year had a 3.8(as a junior) and the only big-name he swung an interview with was AT Kearney.
There are other factors than GPA, but 3.6 definitely puts one in the ballpark for interviews. Besides, consulting is harder, in general.
wow, you guys must be complete fucking noobs who put down ping-pong as their extra-curricular - fucking hell - 3.8 at wharton and all you get is AT fucking Kearney? That is a punch in the balls.
