Sorry for the late reply - You never want to live with the, "what-if I did this..." belief. Your stats are solid and you never know what "sticks out" on your application. Maybe one of your experiences/personal statement hit home with one of the admissions officers and she/he wants to take you in for an interview. You just never know. Honestly, the only downside is an expensive application fee and some of your time, but to me, the benefits far outweigh the worst possible outcome, which is getting denied.
