what's everyone's input on the Compensation at Boutique firms? Base, Signing Bonus, and at the end of the year bonus? thanks

i work at a boutique and it pays top of street
Depends on the boutique. If you are talking about the ultra-prestigious boutiques (i.e. Perella Weinberg, Moelis & Co., Evercore, Greenhill, Lazard, etc.), many of them will pay above Street. Regional boutiques will obviously be less.
Dosk, that boutique pay is still incredible, coming out of college.
And compared to what people got paid back in the 01-02 timeframe it's especially good.
Still, the point remains that you will not get paid nearly as much at a regional boutique as you will at a BB in most cases.
In the long run a $30-40K pre-tax difference as a 23-year old doesn't really matter, but people always ask for salary details, so felt it was worth pointing out....
