As you are just finishing your first year at a target school, you don't need to have a great internship after your first year. Many people who are now banking analysts had no internship after their first year.

I think the research firm internship is good experience. I'm assuming it is some sort of financial research. If you take the London position even if you don't do anything amazing, you still get to spend a month in London which will be good international experience to talk about and like you said you can slightly embellish it on your resume. But, if you don't take the position I still think you would be in good shape.

basically, you think it's worth it to go?

any other thoughts?

I just don't know if going to London for a month is really worth it.. especially if I don't actually get to be sight-seeing.

I agree london can be fun.. but i will have little time to actually have fun. Plus i will only be there for a month and I don't know anyone in London.

So you think it's worth it for just a month? Do you think I am trying to fit in too much into one summer?
