LOL, I got a MSF to get in to S&T and you want to do it when you're already there!?!?
All kidding aside, it's up to you. Personally, there's no way in hell I would do it. I value my time/weekends too much.

"liscen, most other ppl have some sort of advanced degree, so you need to get one as well"

If you hear that from your boss in S&T then go to another desk... seriously.

ok got it...so basically its not something that happens often...has anybody seen it though?
If your desk head cares more
If your desk head cares more about what degree you have than your PNL, then something is wrong.

i just want to quit that piece of shit exam and focus on my job.

U of T has a Msc in Finance
U of T has a Msc in Finance and you only attend once a week and everyother weekend, thats very manageble. You never know what happens in the future, having a CFA and a Masters is like hedging against future events. If your bank were to ever hit a rough patch and decide to cut staff, I doubt they'll cut an employee with solid PnL,a CFA, and a masters in finance. These designations make you more valuable and more of a finance proffesional than a salesman- not to mention the fact that clients may trust your opinion more when they know of your extensive studying and qualifications.
