Doing MSc Finance(part time) while working in S&T?

Hi all,

Has anybody done this? is it something thats badly perceived by the MD, since not 100% of your focus will be on the job...(or so he believes) Its 2 classes a semester...at night...so its not that time consuming... i just want to do it to have more cred among among my peers...most of them have masters..should i?

i know....lol but is there a situation when your boss could say:

"liscen, most other ppl have some sort of advanced degree, so you need to get one as well"

are there alot of ST associates these days with nothing but a bachelors?? thats what worries me...if they make me do it. It was a never a pre-requ when i got hired, but im wondering if it could be one down the line

If you hear that from your boss in S&T then go to another desk... seriously.

ok got it...so basically its not something that happens often...has anybody seen it though?

If your desk head cares more about what degree you have than your PNL, then something is wrong.

my boss hasnt said anything other than the fact that he wanted me to focus on the cfa exam coming up....he didnt say i needed to have it as a prerequisite for the position...or needed to pass i just want to quit that piece of shit exam and focus on my job.
