Drink up - In the spirit of the economy

Looks like bars and liquor companies are jumping on the recession bandwagon, creating special drinks in honor of the tanking economy.

Got to give them an 'A' for effort. A few of the more creative ones include the Bourbon Bailout, Rejected Resume and Welfare Punch.

So, what's your drink of choice to drown your misery in these days?

Just your basic Iced Tea and Vodka. Taste like Iced Tea and gets the job done ASAP. I live in the south though so you have to watch out or you'll get sweet tea.

Firefly is excellent, just mix it with a little water. Gets kind of sweet after you have a few though, so lately I've been drinking gin (Tanqueray and Hendricks are best) and tonic with a lime.

Thoroughly second the dark n stormy rec Gosling's and Barritt's is a winning combination

Also partial to Labatt Blue Light - 4% ABV and a pleasant tea-like aftertaste - when it's a volume play

If its made by Labatt's, I will drink it. Vodka or Gin with Tonic and Lime are great choices also. If youre feeling crazy, try the James Bond Martini out of Casino Royale.

3 parts Gordons Gin 1 part Vodka .5 part Lillet (very hard to find, might substitute with dry vermouth) shake over ice til extremely cold and serve with a thick lemon peel.

I may not be able to post alot about other topics, but this is definately my expertise...
