Estonia

Do you Monkeys ever wish there was more banking in Estonia. There is some in Sweden (even thought about going out to stockholm school of business to see if I could get in from there, but wasn't target enough for a masters). For the less traveled, Estonia is extremely tiny, but possibly one of the greatest places on earth. The women are absolutely gorgeous. If any of you experienced monkeys want to go start a small PE/ M and A boutique in Estonia, let me know and I'm in.

I did an abroad program at the University of Tartu in 2011. The fiscal discipline and measures put in place by the government made them the only satellite that had a balanced budget with a small surplus... There is a bank that was prominently expanding, can't recall the name right now but they were of Scandinavian origin. Mobile banking is big there and makes the US look archaic in comparison. Obviously the volume is very small but they are aligning themselves with the Nordic countries. But now with the Russian sanctions it will be interesting to see how the Russian minority groups will react. There was still a lot of mutual dislike when you spoke with the locals... and when we went out all the local girls would tell the american guys they were "16" lol.

ETA: estonia rocks and is totally underrated

Definitely, I think about it like all the time, where is the most random fucking place to open a PE fund? :-)

With that said I like where your head's at let's get some fucking Barbados PE going, supplement our income by buying surf shops. @"Dingdong08" @"thebrofessor" Who's with me?!?

My experience of Eastern European women is: - They are generally 5 years younger than they look - Gorgeous 'til 30, then babushka

Those who can, do. Those who can't, post threads about how to do it on WSO.

Perhaps, starting an Estonian long/short fund is a better idea! Fifteen listed stocks with 4-5 exceeding 50 000 EUR daily turnover gives you plenty of opportunities.

With income net of taxes at "just" 59% of total labour costs + relatively high indirect taxes (VAT contribution to the budget is as high as from income tax), it's not surprising that the budget is balanced.

@guerrillagrrl I'm going to agree with you and I'm going to disagree with you. Every estonian girl I met while in Europe(mind you outside of Estonia) loved me. This also helps that I'm a 6 foot 6 250 pound giant... i'm like their version of thor, but tend to have an investment bankers shorter haircut.

One thing i've learned about my Nordic people, is that success is rooted in their society. While yes they are socialist countries, they do things in complete efficiency. Its been spawned from generations of harsh living. It isn't the same type of wasteful spending our system has. They truly use their tax dollars on programs that all of their society can use for their betterment. ( That being said I can live with being socialist.... soo many hot girls)

My bigger issue is A. I came from a non target school, and haven't yet landed an IB job for experience. B. My current job pays a poverty 43k a year....I could maybe sustain a few months of living, but would need to find a way to truly raise capital out there. If we can get the capital, we could start a nordic based EMR company, that specializes in mid to small size healthcare organizations. Anyone following the medical tech sector knows that NO ONE has been able to do this right yet.
