Excel Question. Help Needed!!
Hey Guys,
I was wondering if there was a way to enter only values when referring to a formula.
For example, Id like to sum G3:G33 and enter a function at the same time to convert it directly into a value.
Thanks!

it's circular logic . . . so you probably can't because you need a formula to feed the range, hence it won't be a value.
don't know if there's a better way or if this is even what you mean, but type in the formula as usual, then hit F9 before you hit enter, Excel should calculate the formula first and then when you hit enter, enter just the result rather than the actual formula For your example, try typing =sum(G3:G33) then hit F9 then hit enter should work
select a cell... then hit F2 to edit formula then hit F9 to convert to values
Paste Values... copy cell then Alt+ESV to paste values
Or VBA for alot of cells without Alt+ESV Sub ConvertToVal() Dim bcell as range For each bcell in selection bcell.formular1c1=bcell.value next bcell End Sub
if you assign that shortcut key like ctrl+q or something, it is pretty quick and useful
