Experienced I-Banker Seeking a Position in PE

Hello:

I am an experienced (VP-level) i-banker with over 8 years of experience in domestic and cross-border middle-market M&A, corporate finance and corporate restructuring. I don't have an MBA, but have a strong legal background.

I would like to make a move into private equity, preferably somewhere in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Does anyone have any advice?

I would say apply to the jobs we are going to be posting up once we get our new job module installed properly, but most of the jobs will be for pre-MBA, entry level positions into PE, HFs or mid-level banking posistions. Try to use the Recruiter Database once you collect 15 bananas.

Frankly I think this board is a bit low-level for you. I'd be targeting specific firms that meet your criteria, possibly PE divisions of banks as well. Try and use contacts you've made over the past few years, executives involved in buyouts, that sort of thing. turns out there are a surprising number of people who've been involved in PE transactions, albeit not at a high level.
