Fastest way to find out FDA drug approval? Pharma stock
I'm long on stock that have FDA approval dates coming up for big drugs like HEB (Hemispherx Biopharma and it's Ampligen product, ACUS, etc), but their approval/denial dates for their applications are like sometime next week. What's the fastest way to find out whether or not the drug was approved? Waiting for info off the internet is too slow. I considered looking into calling and finding someone with that access but wanted to see if there's something else out there...
Finding out whether or not a drug was released a couple of minutes before everyone else does could bring in serious cash (or save).

lol...thats the definition of insider trading.
i know what you mean and dont consider it insider trading ... real question is how can average joe get bloomberg type headlines (or maybe bloomberg type headlines focused on pharma). waiting for wsj.com or yahoo finance or whatever doesnt cut it.. of course institutional guys get it but they have huge orders... coudlnt average joe get his 100 shares purchased/sold at a cheaper price?

also interested in obtaining any positive/negative information of any public firm, not necessarily parma firms. lol
Typically if they announce during the day the stock will be halted for news pending. Good luck trying to front run the news headline on something like this. Computer programs and people with the actual information will beat you to and snag all the offers very quickly on good news and pound the bids on bad news.
In general small cap biotechs are just about unexploitable in terms of trading around the news. I absolutely will not touch biotechs for trading because of these reasons.
If your timing is not sensitive the answer to your question is "just wait for a ridiculous move in the stock price and then check the headlines. Not sure if this addresses your questions or not.
