Favorite Yiddish/Italian/German Words
I'm a big fan of the Yiddish "Schlup" to describe someone lacking motivation or ambition, and the Italian "Fugazzi" to describe bullshit.

I hear if you go to Goldman Sachs and whisper the secret yiddish phrase passed through the Jewish generations they grant you an interview on the spot no questions asked for a FO IB role.
It's funny because this is more or less how I got my job at Goldman. Went to a top Jewish HS with the SVPs daughter and was a family friend. Was glorious because she friendzoned the fuck out of me in High School after giving me a hand job under a blanket, but now I make bank because of her dad. Feels good man.

The funny thing about Fugazzi is that it's not even a word in Italian. It doesn't exist in the dictionary nor has any meaning.
So you have an Italian word that doesn't exist in Italian, but only in English.
So the word Fugazzi is...Fugazzi?
Just like spaghetti and meatballs / American made
And garlic bread
Pretty much
pummelfee.
German word. literally translates to "fat fairy"
Shoah/fongool/Lebensraum, respectively.
Fugazi/Gabagool/Stounad/Goombah
schadenfreude - German word meaning "deriving joy from watching others suffer / in pain".
love it.
Italian - Mama mia! German - Wiener schnitzel
Shudduppa ya’ face!
backpfeifengesicht
"Gabbadotz" has to be my favorite Italian word. The real spelling is something like "capa tosta" which means hard head/stubborn, but it's pronounced the first way. My family called me that a lot when I was growing up and I still like to use it
