Fidelity Capital Markets Interview
Hello,
Does any have any experience with interviews for Fidelity Capital Markets? Have a first round coming up this week, and not really sure what to expect for buyside trading interviews. Also, not really sure what the role entails. Do I just sit there putting orders from a PM into algos all day? Kinda unclear how buyside trading works to me.
If anyone has any advice on how to prepare for this, that would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Buyside trading is wrong. Fidelity CM is sellside.
From their site:

Looks like you'd be doing flow trading from retail orders and hedge fund prime brokerage clients. Never really heard of any regular IM shops trading through fidelity (I worked at one last summer and they traded through the usual suspects - BB/MM banks who provide research in return).
Try and reach out to someone at the firm to learn more pre-interview

So there have been a number of posts on fidelity and fidelity trading--but I am curious as to what people now about Fidelity Capital Markets Sales & Trading. (Unlike people have posted Fidelity does actually have S&T)
How would this compare to BB S&T (I know this question has been asked, but none of the responders seem to note that this is an actually S&T desk)

I've also seen on here Fidelity pays above street, but in this case do you think that would be true?
A mutual fund seems like a really boring place to work at. You should take any BB trading job over fidelity.
Fidelity does pay above street.
