Fitch Ratings Associate Analyst Interview

I've got an interview coming up with Fitch Ratings as an Associate Analyst in their NYC office.

I've been told that they have an excel modeling test and was hoping someone who may have gone through the process can give me some insight on what the modeling test may entail and also what technicals to expect during the interview. You can PM me details if you'd like. Thanks.

The initial short interview with HR will cover why you are interested in the position. There will likely be no technical questions. Mainly just gauging your interest in the position and your past experiences.

I've moved on to the next round where I will start with a written assessment and then interview 4 (2 upper, 1 mid, and 1 analyst) members of the group afterword. The total time is expected to be around 4 hours.

Does anyone out there have any insight on the written assessment or what technicals could be expected for a cmbs analyst? I know the basics but I'm just trying to cover all my bases here.

Hello, Could you please provide some details on your excel test ? I guess you have passed it already? Many thanks in advance Best regards

Know the basics of securitization, know the basics and risks of CMBS. Know why rating agencies do what they do and how they estimate a rating.
