For people who have *completed* DealMaven

Kid I know is taking the test for a winter externship.

Are you timed on the Certification Case Study quizzes?

i.e., can he just skip all of the crap preceeding them-- thus immediately starting on the important tests-- and look up any answers if he gets stuck?

I understand some of the tests can't be retaken.

thx.

you have to do all of it. You do NOT have to read through all tutorials, but to get the certification you have to complete all the section ending quizzes above 80% (not sure about the cutoff) and send in a final copy of your model for evaluation. the final model you actually must build and send in to them, so there is really no way around this. i wouldn't recommend grabbing a completed version off someone else, I'm sure they could figure a way to check that.

Thanks Fargus.

If I understand this right, there are 3 types of hurdles.

(1) Knowledge base tests (w/ that 80% requirement)

(2) Certification Case Study Quizzes

(3) the excel model

My question was about the "Certification Case Study Quizzes." they can't be retaken...

do you know how they are set up? are they based on the model / are they timed?
