What is the dress code for the equity research department of a boutique investment bank in NYC? I'll wear a suit after that, but I don't have that many business clothes, so it would be good to know.

Better idea: hang out in a van with binocculars across the street the week before you start. Watch what people are wearing coming and going, take notes.

Wore a suit the first day, had no idea what the dress code was.
Turns out its super business casual. Other people were wearing dress pants and a button down shirt/button down shirt with a vest. The other intern (male) wore jeans.
