I did the GARP ERP in May, I thought the material was great and covered an array of energy topics. It gave me a nice foundation to build on and allowed me to figure out what I would like to go more in depth with next within energy.
How come you guys think the CFA is better than the ERP for energy related finance positions? I'm a power trader and just took the ERP, must say I thought the material was very in depth ranging from E&P to risk management to trading and derivatives. Any other thoughts?

Currently working as a natural gas scheduler but am interested in moving over to the financial side of commodity trading. Wondering what people's thoughts were on the ERP certification and if it's something employers would value? Current employer doesn't have a large financial presence so hard to gauge the value here.
