Please take a look at my resume linked below.

I have been working on updating this for quite some time now but am stuck trying to decide about minute details of format/font... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

wtf is Beta Alpha Si. If you're going to be in an organization, at least spell it correctly. Come to think of it, there are spelling and grammatical errors all over the document.

Did you check out the M&I format? Your resume looks too novelty (and full of lines) right now.

Currently: future neurologist, current psychotherapist Previously: investor relations (top consulting firm), M&A consulting (Big 4), M&A banking (MM)

Thanks everyone. I will make adjustments mentioned above and see what I come out with. Obviously this was not anywhere close to a final version. Honestly, I have been very slack and havent updated or 'made' a resume since my sophomore year of college so getting things down on paper was at least a start.

I'm not necessarily trying to obtain a certain position or even specifically IB but just want to have a general semi updated resume.

Is there a particular reason that most people on the boards prefer the M&I template? Just curious.

Thanks!

It's clean, concise, and organized. It's not like Brian pioneered the format or anything - he made it as a reflection of "best practices", so to speak, of how the finance world likes resumes to be.

Which tense is best practice?
Past tense, I would assume, since your experiences happened in the past....?

everything should be in the past tense even if you are still in your current role. Also recruiter want to see what you have accomplished not just what your responsibilities are
