Goldman finance offer HELP ASAP
I recently got an offer for a job as a product controller at GS which is a role that I've held at my current firm for about a year now (been working for 1.5 years to date). Problem is, I'm looking to get into other areas of finance or risk that interest me much more. For what it's worth, I'm a finance major/accounting minor from a non-target private college, and just finished CFA Lv 1.
Does anyone here have experience in a Finance capacity at GS? How easy is it to move internally within the same division? To my knowledge, Finance and Risk are lumped into the same division at GS so does that mean it is easier than making the move internally elsewhere?
If it makes any difference I got the offer through a HH who claimed this would allow me to gain more quantitative skills than what I've gained thus far, though I'm jaded and unsure what else I can gain from PC.. If anyone has the slightest clue what I'd be in for at Goldman vs other firms, that would help as well.
Really appreciate the insight!
