Graduate degree in M.Eng at Michigan

Hi all,
Seeking advice. Before I start, yes I know top MBA would probably be the smoothest transition, however I am totally not prepared for GMAT.
I have an undergraduate degree in materials engineering from a non-target small name engineering school (Accenture target, few alums in TC), with 3.3 GPA. I have been working as a process engineer at F500 (490 something) since summer 2015. Recently I have been accepted at University of Michigan's Master of Engineering program, which I will start in next Fall. In terms of getting recruited without MBA, how are my chances assuming I get a 3.7 GPA (very doable since Michigan has +- system but my undergrad did not, I have always been a B+, A- student), network and getting involve with consulting clubs on campus? What are my odds for first round? If I do want to continue to pursue my MBA, will this master help with getting in? Any advice is appreciated.
Also, anyone know anything about Tauber Institute? How competitive is it on the engineering side? Any essay and interview advice?

Thank you all
